How to draw animals. I can’t remember who said it, but I concur with the sentiment that the intermediate stages of these are often far more beautiful in their simplicity than the final product.
Whenever I used to get the “how to draw X” books I would always quit partway through, with some nice minimal, almost symbolic representations of whatever it was I was supposed to be drawing.
