Reflecting on Peculiar Events
Allison Torneros has an interesting approach to her work.
Many times I approach the creation process by letting the paint do the ‘talking’—by throwing around paint and other materials onto the canvas in an unpredictable manner and leaving it to dry overnight, I later begin drawing based on what I see in the random composition, allowing the work to emerge on its own.
And emerge it does.
